- Consulting members of the populace interested in registering a name or device
- Promoting knowledge of the heraldic arts and traditions
- Accepting name and device submissions and passing them to the Matins Herald
- Assisting members of the populace with their submissions throughout the process
- Advising members of the populace of any changes in the status of their submissions
- Reporting any awards granted in Baronial court to the Banner Herald
